Angela's Blog

There was a section of the blog "set up" that posed a random question. The first random question that popped into my head was "What is your food "weakness?" Presumably, as a physical education and health teacher, I am expected to maintain a healthy lifestyle, nutrition included. For the most part, I am a good role mode of this expectation. However, I find myself falling short when it comes to keeping my hand out of the cookie jar or other sweet snacks. Most health journals I've read state that a good exercise program will alleviate cravings of high sugar snacks and help develop good eating habits. This hasn't proven true in my case, even after many years of exercising, from 4 years of college sports until now as an active physical education teacher. I know all the negative affects "chocolate" has on my body but I can't curb the craving! I admire those individuals who are over their healthy fitness weight and change their diets even if it means omitting sweets and chocolate. Kudos to everyone who has done that. It's important to know your body's strengths and weaknesses so that we can make healthy decisions for a fit and healthy life. We are all in some sort of "shape".... what shape are you?
